    Anyone managed to install compiz-fusion 0.6.0 -r1 on GoboLinux 014.01 with nvidia 169.12-r2 ?
    Cannot start compiz-mabager... have this issue:

    root@NewMachine ~]compiz --replace ccp &
    [1] 21364
    root@NewMachine ~]process 21364: D-Bus library appears to be incorrectly set up; failed to read machine uuid: Failed to open "/System/Variable/lib/dbus/machine-id": No such file or directory......if I disable dbus in CCSM it works... ??

    Thaks for any ideas...

    First, could you post new posts instead of editing the original post? It's hard to know what has changed.

    Then regarding your problem, how did you install DBus? Directly from the CD? Try running dbus-uuidgen --ensure

    Sorry about that.
    Yes,I installed dbus from CD during Gobolinux installation.(Chose "typical" in package pre-selection).

    Which release? I remember this problem to be present in plain 014 due to a buggy dbus package or something.
