    Has anyone been able to get KDE4 working correctly? I've been building from trunk, and everything builds fine. The problem I'm getting is that klauncher is unable to find the various KIO plugins (so no sftp:// etc...) Given that klauncher is in KDE-Libs and the SFTP KIO slave is in KDE-Base, I'm thinking it's something to do with klauncher expecting the slaves to be in the same directory as the klauncher library.

    Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Could you just verify that there exists libraries for SFTP KIO slave in KDE-Base? The could be missing due to not all required libs being present when KDE-Base was built.

    Thanks for answering :) Yes I did check that it exists.

    /lib/kde4/kio_sftp.so -> /Programs/KDE-Base/20080428-SVN/lib/kde4/kio_sftp.so

    Interestingly, the FTP ioslave works fine, and that's in KDE-Libs itself, which supports the theory that it could be a path hardcoding problem.

    Hmm new KDE beta is out, someone should test it (Hahaha /someone/Mohjive/ ;> )

    PS: Maybe KDE is still too "betaish" and we should wait until KDE4 runs a lot better and others have tested it much more thorough

    So Mohjive, am I right in thinking that you have KDE4 working, and ioslaves are not a problem for you? If so, could you tell me if you did anything special to compile?

    I don't even use KDE. I'll ping Lucas about it as he has been commiting KDE4 recipes lately.

    Hi. It works fine for me here. I've just tested the FTP and SFTP ioslaves. This is on KDE 4.0.3, but I would expect it to work on 4.0.4, too (for which I created packages and recipes yesterday). Be my guest to test them, the upload will finish in about 1 hour.
